RE 03-14-95.3 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL RESOLUTION NO. 031495.3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES TO DEFRAY THE COSTS OF PROVIDING SUCH SERVICES; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell provides for various fees for fees for animal control services; and WHEREAS, the Code of Ordinances provides that the City Council will establish such fees from time to time by resolution; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish fees for animal control services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the fees set forth in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes, for animal control services provided by the City under ~he Animal Control Ordinance of the City of Coppell, Texas, are hereby established. SECTION 2. That all provisions of any resolution of the City of Coppell, Texas, in conflict with the provisions of this resolution be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all other provisions not in comqi~t with the provisions of this resolution shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. That the City Council may amend the fees established herein from time to time by resolution, and not otherwise. SECTION 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately from and after its 1 AGG0647C passage, as the law and charter in such cases provide. Show or exhibition $25.00 B. Grooming $25.00 C. Commercial Dealer (Retail and/or Wholesale Distributor) $50.00 D. Commercial Stables $100.00 Persons requiring more than one (1) such permit shall be charged one (1) fee for all of the permits. Such fee shall be equal to the amount of the highest individual permit fee which would have been charged if the permits had been separately issued. IMPOUNDMENT (§ 9-1-10 et seq.) Impound Charges where impoundment occurs outside of regular working hours shall be the cost of impoundment plus 10%. Dogs and cats under the age of six (6) months shall be charged the sterilization fee. Animals may be exempted from sterilization upon written recommendation from a licensed veterinarian that such alternatives would be harmful or dangerous to the animal. Owners of these animals are to be subject to the lower impoundment fee. All impounded animals with tags are held for 7 days. OBSERVATION FEES FOR ANIMALS IN QUARANTINE: The owner of any animal held in quarantine for observation purposes shall be charged five dollars ($5.00) for every day or fraction of a day an an/mai is at the animal shelter. This is in addition to any impoundment or daily handling fee. Impounded animals cannot be released without proof of current rabies vaccination. A rabies vaccination can be administered at SLAH for cats and dogs over the age of 4 months. $16.00 EXHIBIT "A" ;~cGo647c DEAD ANIMAL REMOVAL/EUTHANASIA FEE/OWNER RELEASE (9-1-12D) Cats $20.00 Dogs $25.00 Dogs (25 lbs. and over) $30.00 With financial hardship cases, these fees may be waived in whole or in part by the City.
