ORDINANCE NO. 96770
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO 96737 TO AMEND THE REFERENCE TO
CODE ADVISORY AND APPEALS BOARD TO BUILDING AND
STANDARDS COMMISSION; BY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 96749
BY CHANGING THE ORDINANCE NUMBER DESIGNATION TO
ORDINANCE NO. 91500-A-129; BY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 96742
BY CHANGING THE ORDINANCE NUMBER DESIGNATION TO
ORDINANCE NO. 91500-A-128; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE;
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Ordinance No. 96737 to provide that the
general and special fees and charges to be assessed and collected by the City shall be established by
resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 96737 erroneously referred to the Code Advisory and Appeals
Board rather than the Building and Standards Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Ordinance No. 96742 which was
erroneously assigned Ordinance number designation 96742 rather than Ordinance No. 91500-A-
128; and
WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Ordinance No. 96749 which was
erroneously assigned Ordinance number designation 96749 rather than Ordinance No. 91500-A-
129.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 96737 be and the same is hereby amended by changing
the reference to "Code Advisory and Appeals Board" therein to "Building and Standards
Commission."
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 96742 be and the same is hereby amended by amending
the humeric reference to said Ordinance to Ordinance No. 91500-A- 128.

SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 96749 be and the same is hereby amended by amending
the numeric reference to said Ordinance to Ordinance No. 91500-A-129.
SECTION 4. That all provisions of the Ordinances of the City of Coppell, Texas, in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all other
provisions of the Ordinances of the City not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall
remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 5. That should any sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section
of this ordinance be adjudged or held to be unconstitutional, illegal or invalid, the same shall not
affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole, or any part or provision thereof other than the part
so decided to be unconstitutional, illegal or invalid.
SECTION 6. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage,
as the law and charter in such cases provide.
