Call the Meeting to Order
- Mr. Victor Burke called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

- No citizens present wishing to speak.
COPPELL RECREATION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
Action Items: (Items requiring CRDC members' action, such as a motion or vote)
Item 3:
Consider approval of minutes from October 4, 2004.
- Larry Jones moved to approve minutes from October 4, 2004.
Bruce Akerly seconded the motion.
Vote: (7-0) approved.
PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD ITEMS
Action Items: (Items requiring action by Parks and Recreation Board)
Item 4:
Consider approval of the Parks and Recreation Board Priority List.
- Mr. Brad Reid presented the Board with the updated Priority List.
Mr. Greg Garcia moved to approve the 2004-2005 Priority List.
Mr. Mark Tepper seconded the motion.
Vote: (7-0) approved.
Item 5:
Consider approval of canceling the regularly scheduled December
meeting.
- Mr. Mark Tepper moved to approve having the regularly scheduled
December meeting.
Mr. Stephen Hafer seconded the motion.
Vote: (7-0) approved.
Item 6:
Consider approval of the proposed 2004-2005 Parks and Recreation Board
Goals.
- Mr. Bruce Akerly moved to approve the 2004-2005 Parks and
Recreation Board Goals.
Mr. Mark Tepper seconded the motion.
Vote: (7-0) approved
Information Items: (Items requiring no action by Parks and Recreation Board)
Item 7:
Presentation by the Kiwanis Club.
* Representatives of the Kiwanis Club and the Location Committee
presented the Board with the following information:
· Location Committee - Searched for possible site.
- Site A: Area between Moore Road and Mockingbird Road
- Site B: Grapevine Springs
- Site C: Area North of Parks and Recreation Facility
- Site D: Underdeveloped Eastern section of Wagon Wheel Park
· Criteria to select locations:
· Accessibility, vegetation, amenities, etc.
· Nature Site Total Ranking:
- Site A = 473
- Site B = 662
- Site C = 473
- Site D = 844
Wagon Wheel is the recommended site for the Coppell Nature
Center.
Item 8:
Teen Sub-committee Report
- Mr. Tepper informed the Board that there would be a Teen Summit
on Thursday at Town Center at 6 p.m.
Item 9:
Director' s Report
- Mr. Reid informed the Board that Parks and Recreation staff
members will look into getting National Certification, which is a 2-
year process and will focus in policies and procedures.
· Special Events Report
- Mrs. Sellars informed the Board that about 1200 people attended
the Halloween Fair this year.
- Holiday Celebration - December 4, 2004
- Parade starts at 3:30 p.m.
- Open House at Town Center after the parade.
- Volunteers needed.

· Future Agenda Items
- Judging of Arbor Day Poster Contest
· Adopt a Location
- Saturday, November 6, 2004, at 9 a.m.
Mr. Mark Tepper moved to adjourn meeting.
Mr. James Wikman seconded the motion.
Vote: (6-0) approved.
