RE 01-28-92.1 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 012892.1 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Coppell has recognized the importance of providing Park and Recreation facilities to the citizens of Coppell; and WHEREAS, the city supports the Dallas County Park and Open Space System; and WHEREAS, on December 31, 1991, the Baptist Foundation of Texas donated, for inclusion within the Dallas County Park and Open space System, 15.537 acres of property in Coppell known as Grapevine Springs; and WHEREAS, the City recognizes the historic significance of this area and supports the acquisition and restoration of the Grapevine Springs Park site; and WHEREAS, the City recognizes that this park site is truly unique and without peer in Dallas County; and WHEREAS, due to the Baptist Foundation's generosity, the City of Coppell will benefit by initial restoration of this site by Dallas County and eventual use of this park by Coppell citizens; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OOPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, hereby extends its sincere appreciation to the Baptist Foundation of Texas for its generosity in donating the Grapevine Springs Park to the Dallas County Park and Open Space system and for its recognition of the importance of this site to Coppell's past and future. DULY ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, on the j~ day of January, 1992.
