RE 12-10-91.2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 121091.2 WHEREAS, the City of Coppell continues to protect and enhance the quality of life for its citizens: and WHEREAS, the North Central Texas Council of Governments is serving as convenor and facilitator of affected local governments in pursuit of a COMMON VISION for the Trinity River Corridor~ and WI{EREAS, under the Interlocal A§reement executed by each participating local §overnment, NCTCOG acts as the administrative agent (i.e., local sponsor) for the Upper Trinity River Feasibility Study, with cost-sharing among local governments, the Texas Water Development Board and the Federal Government: and WHEREAS, Congress charged the Feasibility Study to "provide improvements in the interest of flood protection, environmental enhancement, water quality, recreation, and other allied purposes in the Upper Trinity River Basin"; and WHEREAS, the Steering Committee of elected officials and Flood Management Task Force have been workin§ closely with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas Water Development Board during the Feasibility Study; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: Section 1 The City of Coppell, in concert with the other participants, continues fo support the activities of the Upper Trinity River Feasibility Study. Section 2 The City of Coppell requests that the State of Texas, through the Texas Water Development Board, continue its financial support of the Upper Trinity River Feasibility Study by awardin§ the fundin§ request of $1,000,000 for Phase II during the State FY92/93 biennium, with $575,000 for Fiscal Year 1992 and $425,000 for Fiscal Year 1993.
