RE 09-24-91.2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 092491.2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING A POLICY TO DETERMINE THE PLACEMENT OF CITY EMPLOYEES WHEN IMPLEMENTING A NEW CITY COMPENSATION PLAN. WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Coppell has brought forth to the City Council a policy to clarify treatment of City employees when implementing a new city Compensation Plan in an effort to provide consistency, equity and fairness to City employees; and WHEREAS, the policy shall be limited to all employees completing their initial probationary period of employment in a new position, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THECITY OF COPPETJ., TEXAS: Section 1 All employees completing their initial probationary period of employment in a new position within six months prior to the implementation of a new city compensation plan shall be given consideration as to the appropriate placement on the new compensation plan when it has been deemed by the City Manager that the implementation of said plan has adversely impacted their positioning on the plan. Section 2 Placement on new compensation plan of employees deemed to be adversely impacted by the implementation of a new compensation plan shall be based upon their recommended merit increase derived from performance appraisal and completion of their initial probationary period (if applicable). Section 3 Upon implementation of a new City compensation plan, the director of all employees affected above shall be responsible for forwarding all requests for review and consideration in writing to the Personnel Department for verification and subsequent approval of the City Manager.
