A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A RELEASE OF ASSESSMENT LIEN ON 5.01 ACRES OF LAND BEING
SOLD BY THE PRENTISS/COPLEY INVESTMENT GROUP TO ROBERT THACKER AND
THOMAS THACKER; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Coppell levied an assessment (the "assessment") in the amount of
$376,794,85 against a 328.1838 acre tract of land (the "Property") owned by
Prentiss/Copley Investment Group ("Prentiss") to cover a portion of the costs to be
incurred for paving and other construction of Belt Line Road (N/S) adjacent to "the
Property" described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, said assessment was levied by City of Coppell Resolution No. 102886.1
and Ordinance No. 86-367; and
WHEREAS, on or about February 1, 1989, a certified copy of the Assessment
Ordinance was filed in the Deed Records of Dallas County, Texas, at Volume 89021,
page 1791; and
WHEREAS, the City of Coppell issued Certificate of Special Assessment Number
89-115 relating to the assessment; and
WHEREAS, "Prentiss" is in the process of selling 5.01 acres of "the Property"
and wishes to pay the portion of said assessment due and related to said 5.01 acre
tract, which is described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto and obtain a release of the
assessment Iien as it relates only to said 5.01 acre tract; and
WHEREAS, "Prentiss" has agreed to pay the sum of $5,752.08 to the City of
Coppell, said sum being that portion of the total assessment attributable to the 5.01
acre tract in return for a release of lien on the 5.01 acre tract only.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the City Council of the City of Coppel], Texas, hereby authorizes the Mayor
to execute a release of assessment lien only on the 5.01 acre tract of land described
in Exhibit "B" attached hereto upon receipt of payment in the sum of $5,752.08.

SECTION 2.
That this resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
passage.

BEING a tract of land in the JAMES A. SI~IMONS SURVEY ABSTRACT NO.
1296, and also being part of Block 8, according to the Final Plat
of Mark West Co~e~ce Center, r~Gorded in Volume 90218, Page 3264,
Map Records of Dallas County, Texas, and being more particularly
described as follows:
COMMENCING at a 1/2 inch set iron rod located at the intersection
of the West right-of-way line of Belt Line Road (120 feet wide)
with the south right-of-way line of Airline Drive (60 feet wide);
THENCE North 89 degrees 06 minutes 46 seconds West~ along the
South right-of-way line of said Airline Drive, a distance of
3368.52 feet to an iron rod for corner said point being the point
of beginning;
THENCE South 89 degrees 06 minutes 46 seconds East, along the
South R.O.W. of Airline Drive 391.37 feet to an iron rod for
corner;
THENCE South 44 degrees 06 minutes 46 seconds East 28.29 feet to
an iron rod for corner;
THENCE South 0 degrees 53 minutes 14 seconds West, 511.00 feet to
an iron rod for corner;
THENCE North 89 degrees 06 minutes 46 seconds West, 411.37 feet to
an iron rod for corner;
THEN North 0 degrees 53 minutes 14 seconds East 531.00 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING and CONTAINING 218,237.47 Square Feet, or 5.01
Acres of land more or less.
