PLAN}

KITTRELL:
Concerned about CISD's input re land use for schools.
CISD input re impact of low/medium/high density and workforce housing on school system to
help decide what would be the best scenario.
Have feasibility studies been done re revenue to the City for each scenario?
Questioned environmental condition of North Lake.
Suggested consultant go to high school to see today's overcrowding condition.
EDDIE HAAS:
· Questioned whether or not trip generation calculations have been conducted for each scenario,
including the one submitted by Billingsley.
· Suggested considering the ENTIRE North Lake area for future planning.
· Views this as a planning opportunity to take advantage of the lake amenities, tying in livability
of a community (extending to full-life cycle) through mixed-use interaction, alternative modes of
transportation; making this a destination type of area.
· Likes the North Lake Village concept but feels there needs to be some integration of uses for the
young and elderly population, pedestrian-friendly uses, malls, etc., not just segmented uses.
MATT HALL: · Wants a CISD representative at special-called P&Z meeting in December.
· Likes North Lake Village concept because it addresses needs; i.e., hotel, conference center,
meeting facilities, etc.
· EXTENSIVE planning would have to be done for ANY type of residential dwellings.
· What happens if the lake goes away?
MARK BORCHGARDT:
· Suggests more imaginative uses, not just repeat what we already have in the City. Take
advantage of aspects of what the lake has to offer.
RICK McCAFFREY:
· Questioned how lake is fed.
· Likes more commercial uses; suggested integrating living/recreational uses more effectively, not
just segregated blocks of uses.
DORNELL REESE: · Likes the North Lake Village option, with the exception of a cemetery because of location being
the gateway into Coppell.
· Include the senior citizen housing to this scenario. Questioned difference between North Lake
Village housing vs. Workforce housing.
· Wants the lake to be an asset to any development, even if boating weren't allowed. Suggested a
clubhouse, restaurant, entertainment area.
· Opposes additional warehousing in this area.
· Would like to see more townhomes, zero-lot line homes to give more diversity in housing.
· Questioned whether or not new schools (2nd high school) are just a philosophical discussion.
· Questioned whether or not CISD has a scenario preference.
LEE FOREMAN: · Wants special-called meeting advertised to the citizens for input.
· Suggested a Councilmember be present at special-called P&Z meeting.
