RE 05-08-90.2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, RECOMMENDING
THAT DR. TOM MORTON, COUNCILMAN FOR THE CITY OF COPPELL,
TEXAS, BE PLACED UPON BALLOT FOR CONSIDERATION AND
ELECTION TO THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF THE NORTH CENTRAL
TEXAS COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS
RESOLUTION NO. 050890.2
WHEREAS, the city of Coppell, Texas, recognizes the benefits
of regional planning and cooperation between the many governmental
entities in the north central Texas region; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Tom Morton has served as an outstanding
Councilmember of the City of Coppell, Texas, for the last six
years; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Tom Morton has further demonstrated his
knowledge and ability in governmental affairs through his service
on the Home Rule Charter of the city of coppell, Texas; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Tom Morton has further distinguished
himself and provided leadership to many regional committees,
boards, and commissions; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Tom Morton has indicated his willingness
to offer his professional expertise and commitment to represent the
north central Texas region;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF
COPPELL, TEXAS, hereby unanimously endorses and recommends that the
name of Councilman Tom Morton be considered by the Nominating
Committee for inclusion on the ballot as a Director on the
Executive Board of the North Central Texas Council of Governments.
DULY PASSED by the City Council of the city of Coppell, Texas,
on the 8th day of May, 1990.
