WHEREAS, the City of Coppell, Texas, endorses participation in our
governmental process; and
WHEREAS, the City of Coppell, Texas, believes in promoting
education of the governmental system throughout the community; and
I~EREAS, the 8th Grade Class from Coppe]l Middle School has
endeavored to learn more about National and Local Government; and
WHEREAS, the City of Coppell, Texas, believes that open government
stems from educating our youth in their constitutional freedom;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COPPELL, TEXAS:
The 8th Grade Class from Coppell Middle School
has hereby successfully participated in the City's
Students in Government Program and thereby declares
February 27, 1990 as "Students in Government Day" in
the City of Coppetl.
