A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, SUSPENDING THE OPERATION
OF PROPOSED RATE SCHEDULES FILED BY TEXAS NEW MEXICO POWER COMPANY FOR
AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF THIRTY (30) DAYS, FOR A TOTAL OF 120 DAYS OR
THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED BY LAW, BEYOND THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH SCHEDULES
WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO EFFECT.
WHEREAS, Texas-New Mexico Power Company, on July 18, 1989, filed
a schedule of rates for service within the C~ty of Coppell to become
effective August 23, 1989; and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of
Coppel! that such schedule of rates should be suspended for an
additional period of thirty (30) days, for a total of 120 days or the
maximum as permitted by law, from August 23, 1989, for further study,
investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COPPELL, TEXAS:
Pursuant to Section 43 (d) of the Public Utility Regulatory Act,
the operation of the Texas-New Mexico Power Company's proposed
rate schedules filed with the City of Coppell on July 18, 1989,
is hereby suspended for an additional per~od of thirty (30) days,
for a total of 120 days or the maximum as permitted by law, from
August 23, 1989, for further study, investigation, presentation
of evidence and public hearing.
