Minutes of Meeting
October 20, 2005
The Keep Coppell Beautiful Committee met on October 20, 2005 at 7pm in the Conference Room at the
Coppell Service Center, 816 So. Coppell Rd., Coppell, Texas. The following members were present, John
Dobson, Chairman, Chris Reed, Lisa Cunov, Cindy Geppert, David Goodner, Tom Hudon, Brent Wooten,
and City of Coppell Liaison: Amanda Vanhoozier, Community Programs Coordinator.
Item 1:Call Meeting to Order
–John Dobson called meeting to order at 7:02p.m.
Item 2:Discussion and consider approval of KCB Chair and Co-Chair
Lisa Cunov motioned to continue to have John Dobson as Chair and Chris Reed as Co-Chair. Cindy
Geppert seconded. Motion carried unanimously. (7-0)
Item 3:Consider Approval of Minutes
, September 15, 2005 Minutes.
Lisa Cunov motioned to approve the minutes as written. Brent Wooten seconded. Motion carried
unanimously. (7-0)
Item 4: Citizen’s Forum.
No citizens present.
Item 5: Orientation to KCB
New committee members introduced themselves. Amanda Vanhoozier did a presentation to
give the new members brief information about the KCB committee and responsibilities.
Item 6:Discussion and consider approval of Coppell Community Garden Contract
Amanda Vanhoozier gave a brief history of the Coppell Community Garden and the
organization’s ability to provide community involvement, education and improvements through
the contract. Cindy Geppert motioned to approve the Coppell Community Garden contract for
another year. Lisa Cunov seconded. Motion carried unanimously. (7-0)
Item 7: Discussion and consider approval of cancellation of December Meeting
Lisa Cunov motioned to cancel the December 15 meeting due to schedule conflicts. Cindy
Geppert seconded. Motion carried unanimously. (7-0)
Item 8: Discussion of AAL Program, including Retail Center Survey
Next scheduled KCB clean up is November 12 at 10:00 am. The committee divided the
list of retail locations amongst each other. Each committee member will survey their
locations twice a month and return their reports at every monthly KCB meeting until
enough data is collected.
Item 9: Discussion of Clean Coppell Committee Formation
Lisa Cunov volunteered to sit in with the Clean Coppell Committee and report
information back to the KCB committee. Amanda Vanhoozier has made contact with
organizations that would like to have a representative on the committee. She also has
other organizations in mind that would be great assets to the committee. Amanda will
work with the Parks and Recreation Department and seek for potential projects other than
trash pick-ups. Also, she will get seniors to apply to receive help from volunteers to
assist them with projects around their homes. Palio’s Pizza will donate pizzas for
volunteers the day of the event.
Item 10: Discussion of Computer Recycling Collection

Recycling Collection has been moved to January 7 from 9 am- noon at Town
Center.
