ORDINANCE NO. 2006-1138
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS,
AMENDING THE CODE OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING ARTICLE
15-9, COPPELL THOROUGHFARE PLAN, BY AMENDING THE EXHIBIT
THERETO TO ADD THE ROADWAY CLASSIFICATION OF THE
PROPOSED LESLEY DRIVE FROM ITS POINT OF INTERSECTION
WITH I.H. 635 NORTHWARD TO ITS POINT OF INTERSECTION WITH
DIVIDEND DRIVE, AS DEPICTED ON EXHIBIT “A” WHICH IS
ATTACHED HERETO AND INCORPORATED HEREIN, TO C2U
CLASSIFICATION; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS,
the City Council adopted Ordinance 90489, codified as Article 15-9 of the
Code of Ordinances, which provides for the adoption and maintenance of the Coppell Thoroughfare
Plan as a separate Code; and
WHEREAS
, the City desires to amend the Thoroughfare Plan to provide a roadway
classification of the proposed Lesley Drive, in its entirety, to C2U classification; and
WHEREAS,
the City Council is of the opinion that the Thoroughfare Plan should be
amended to add the roadway classification of Lesley Drive, as depicted in Exhibit “A,” to C2U
classification;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That Article 15-9 of the Coppell Code of Ordinances be, and the same is,
hereby amended by amending the exhibit thereto, Coppell Thoroughfare Plan, to add the roadway
classification of the proposed Lesley Drive, from its point of intersection with I.H. 635 Northward
to its point of intersection with Dividend Drive, as depicted on Exhibit “A,” which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein, to C2U classification.
SECTION 2.
That all provisions of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell, Texas,
in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and all other
provisions not in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 3. That should any sentence, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase or section
of this ordinance or the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, be adjudged or held to be void or
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of said ordinance or
the Code of Ordinances as amended hereby, which shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage
and the publication of its caption, as the law and charter in such cases provide.
