RE 01-24-80 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS RESOLUTION NO. 012480 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, SUSPENDING THE OPERATION OF PROPOSED RATE SCHEDULES FILED BY TEXAS POWER & LIGHT COMPANY FOR A PERIOD OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) DAYS BEYOND THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH SCHEDULES WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO EFFECT. WHEREAS, Texas Power & Light Company did, on January 4, 1980, file a schedule of rates for electric service within the City of Coppell, Texas, to become effective February 8, 1980; and WHEREAS, after having heard the presentation of Texas Power & Light Company, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, that such schedule of rates should be suspended for a period of 120 days from February 8, 1980, for further study, investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing; and WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution has been provided Texas Power & Light Company prior to its consideration by the City Coppell, Texas; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 43 (d) of the Public Utility Regula- tory Act, the operation of the Texas Power & Light Company's proposed rate schedules filed with the City of Coppell, Texas, on January 4, 1980, is hereby suspended for a period of 120 days from February 8, 1980, for further study, investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing.
