RE 01-11-77.3 RESOLUTION NO. 011177.3 WHEREAS, on February 11, 1975, the City Council of tbe City of Coppell did appoint a Bicentennial Commission for coordination of Bicentennial'A%tivities in the city; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Dorothy Jackson served as Editor of the Bicentennial Commission's publication, the "Town Crier", during the period of the Bicentennial activities; and WHEREAS, her efforts provided the citizens of Coppell with the opportunity to learn about and participate in the functions of the Bicentennial Commission and other groups; and ~EREAS, she did devote a great deal of time and effort to the publication of the "Town Crier" for the benefit of her community; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Coppell recognizes the value of her dedicated service, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS hereby expresses to Mrs. Dorothy Jackson, on behalf of the Citizens of Coppell, their gratitude and praise for her efforts and accomplishments as editor of the "Town Crier", BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be placed in the permanent records of the Bicentennial Activities of the City of Coppell.
