CM 1988-12-31- Minute8 of December 31, 1988 The City Council of the City of Coppell met in a special called session on Saturday, December 31, 1988 at 8:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the To~n Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. The following members were present: Dean Wilkerson, Mayor Pro Te~ Walter PettiJohn, Councilman Jim CaYman, Councilman Nark Wolfe, Counct 1usu John A. Nelson, Councilman Nayor Leu Duggan, Councilmen Tom Norton and Bill Smothermon were not present. Also present were City Manager Alan D. Ratliff and City Attorney Larry Jackson. ~ayor Pro Tern Wilkerson called the meeting to order and everyone vas asked Co stand while Councilman PettiJohn gave the invocation. Nayor Pro Tern Wilkerson then led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. E~ECUTIVE SES. sION (Closed to the public) Item 2: Article 6252-17, Section 2 (e) discussion v~th City Attorney concerning negotiations with Lomas & Nettleton and the City of Levieville resarding the boundary agreement be:ween the cities of Coppell and Lewisville. Nayor Fro Ten Wilkerson declared the public session closed on Saturday, December 31, 1988 at 8:17 a.m. aa allowed under the above re:iCed articles. Mayor Pro Tern Wllkeraon adjourned the Executive Session at 8:36 a.m. and opened the public session. (o an t.o the public), %ten 1: To approval an to annex property consider ordinance the located north of the present city lingos and which public hearings have been held on November 22, 1988. Nr. Charles Emery, representing Lomas & Nettlston, was present to discuss this item with the Council. Hr. Emery stated that Lomas & Nettlaton is presently working with the Coppell NUD to secure water and sever service to the property and ia confident that any problems can be worked out. Following discussion Councilmen Wolfe moved to approve Ordinance 88-427 annexing the property located north of the present city l~nCLte and authnri~in8 the Hayer to sign. Conncilnmn Cayman seconded the motion; motion carried 5-0 with Hayer Pro Te~ Wilkerson, Councilmen FettiJohn, Couman, Wolfe and Nelson voting in favor of the motion.
