Special Called Session
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Special Called Session on
Saturday, January 31, 1987 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coppell Town Center.
The following members were present:
Lou Duggan, Mayor
Dale Ware, Mayor Pro Tem
Dean Wilkerson, Councilman
Tom Morton, Councilman
Bill Smothermon, Councilman
Jim Cowman, Councilman
Mark Wolfe, Councilman
Dan Stanton, Councilman
Also present were Frank Trando, Acting City Manager and City Manager
Applicants.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Duggan and immediately went
into executive session as allowed under the below stated article.
Item 1: Article 6252-17, Section 2 (g) discussion concerning personnel.
A. City Manager Applications
Following the executive session, the meeting was declared open to the
public.
PUBLIC SESSION
Item 2: Consider authorization for the Mayor to extend an offer of
employment for the position of City Manager and/or hiring of a
City Manager.
Councilman Wilkerson moved that the City extend an offer of employment
to Mr. Alan Ratliff to include the terms that had been previously
discussed with him. Councilman Morton seconded; motion carried
unanimously with Mayor Pro Tem Ware, Councilmen Wilkerson, Morton,
Smothermon, Cowman, Wolfe, and Stanton voting in favor of the motion.
The meeting was then adjourned.
