CM 1988-08-29 Minutes of August 29, 1988
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in a special called work
session on Monday, August 29, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. in the Executive
Conference Chambers of the Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard. The
following members vere present:
Lon Duggan, Mayor (late arrival)
Dean Wilkerson, Hayor Pro Tem
Walter PettiJohn, Councilman
Tom Morton, Councilman (late arrival)
Bill Smothermon, Councilman (late arrival)
Jim Cowman Councilman
Mark Wolfe, Councilman
John A. Nelson, Councilman
Also present were City ~anagar~,AlanD. ~Ra-~liff, Assistant City
Hanager/Personnel Vivyon V. Bowman, Director of Finance Frank Trando,
Assistant Finance Director Alan Johnson, Accountant Amy Crowley and City
Attorney Larry Jackson.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tam Wilkerson. Councilman
PettfJohn gave the invocation.
Item 1: Work Session on the 1988-89 Fiscal Budget.
A work session was held on the proposed 1988-89 fiscal budget. Mayor
Duggan, Counct~m,u Tom Morton and Bill Smothermon arrived during this
discussion. Following discussion it was the consensus of the City
Council to adopt obtiou t2 of the General Fund proposed budget which is
to include making the necessary deductions in the General Fund to allow
adding the Parks supplement in the total amount of $69,762.00, and
Option t2 of the Water and Sewer Fund. A public hearing on the Fiscal
Budget 1988/89 is scheduled for the City Council meeting of September
13, 1988, regular called session.
There being no further business to discuss the meeting was adjourned.
