Item 7:Orientation Part 4: Volunteers
?
Amanda Vanhoozier reviewed the various aspects of volunteering in Coppell. In the
last city physical year under Keep Coppell Beautiful and Community Programs, there
were 3,512 volunteers in AAL, Community Gardeners, scout troops, Master
Composters, the wildflower seeding, Clean Coppell and schools. Not only
Community Programs and Keep Coppell Beautiful have a lot of volunteerism, but
schools and organizations have people who are very concerned about their
community and are willing to put their time into it. This speaks volumes about the
quality of the people we have here and about the quality of life they desire.
Recruiting of volunteers is easy in Coppell, churches and groups are calling to
volunteer. Our community programs are for all ages and meet a lot of needs. Our
volunteers are becoming leaders in different layers of leadership because motivation
has caused commitment to the programs. We have high expectations of our
volunteers, and it raises everyone to a higher point.
