The City Council of the City of Coppell met in special called session
on March 9, 1981, at 7:00 p.m. in the Coppell High School Cafeteria.
The following members were present:
Andrew Brown, Jr., Mayor
David Phillips, Mayor Pro Tem
Roy Brock, Councilman
Dale Ware, Councilman
Glen White, Councilman
Orville Mayo, Councilman
Also present were City Administrator James Elium.
The meeting was called to order and everyone asked to stand while Councilman
Brock gave the invocation.
Following the invocation, the first item on the agenda was approval of an
ordinance directing the giving of notice of intention to issue $300,000
City of Coppell, Texas Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligat-
ion, Series 1981. Councilman Ware then made a motion to approve the
ordinance; Councilman White seconded the motion which carried 5-0.
Next, the Council considered approval of a resolution requesting financial
assistance from the Texas Water Development Board, authorizing the sub-
mission of an application for financial assistance, and designating an
official representative. Following discussion, Councilman Ware moved to
approve the resolation; Councilman White seconded and motion carried 5-0.
The meeting was then adjourned.
