CM 1982-07-20 Minutes of July 20, 1982
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in special called session on
Tuesday, July 20, 1982, at 6:30 p.m. at the Grapevine Concourse.
The following members were present:
Andrew Brown, Jr., Mayor
Orville Mayo, Mayor Pro Tem
Walter Pettijohn, CouncilmaB
Bunny Thompson, Councilman
Glen White, Councilman
Dale Ware, Councilman
Also present were City Administrator Jim Elium and City Secretary Dorothy
Timmons. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Brown.
ITEM NO. 2: Discussion concerning restrictions on metal buildings
Following a lengthy discussion on this item, it is the consensus of the
Council that this item will be placed on the next agenda.
ITEM NO. 3: Consider approval for repairs on police station
Following discussion, Councilman Petti]john moved that the estimate from
Hearn's Roofing in the amount of $1,450.00 be approved for repairs on the
police station; Councilman Ware seconded and motion carried 5-0.
ITEM NO. 4: Consider participating with other cities through TML in the Lone Star Gas rate increase
Following discussion, Councilman White moved that Coppell participate with
other cities through TML in the Lone Star Gas rate increase; Councilman
Pettijohn seconded and motion carried 5-0.
A work session on the 1982-83 budget was then held. Following the work
session the meeting was adjourned.
