CM 1982-10-14 Minutes of October 14, 1982
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in special called session on
October 14, 1982 at 6:30 p.m. in the Coppell ISD Administration Building.
The following members were present:
Andrew Brown, Jr., Mayor
Walter Pettijohn, Councilman
Bunny Thompson, Councilman
Dale Ware, Councilman
Glen White, Councilman
Mayor Pro Tem Orville Mayo was not present. Also present was City Secretary
Dorothy Timmons.
The meeting was called to order and everyone asked to stand while Councilman
Pettijohn gave the invocation.
ITEM NO. 3 - Public hearing to consider adjustment of taxes based on the recent
re-evaluation.
Mayor Brown declared the public hearing open and asked if there were questions
or discussions from persons in the audience. There were none. The public
hearing was then declared closed. Following discussion by the Council, Councilman
White moved that a public hearing be called for Tuesday, October 19, 1982, at
7:30 p.m. to approve the tax rate for the t982 tax year; Councilman Pettijohn
seconded and motion carried 4-0.
The meeting was then adjourned.
