OR 95-723 Amending Propositions 3, 8 & 14 ORDINANCE NO. 95723 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COPFELL, TEXAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 93709 BY AMENDING PROPOSITION NO. 3 BY CHANGING SECTION 8.03B TO 8.03A AND DELETING SECTION 11.25 FROM THE PROPOSITION, AMENDING PROPOSITION NO. 8 TO BE CONSISTENT WITH SECTION 4.07 OF THE PROPOSED HOME RULE CHARTER, AND BY AMENDING PROPOSITION NO. 14 TO BE CONSISTENT WITH SECTION 6.1:z OF THE PROPOSED HOME RULE CHARTER, EXHIBIT "A" TO ORDINANCE NO. 93709; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 95709 be, and the same is hereby, amended by amending Section 6, Proposition No. 3, Proposition No. 8 and Proposition No. 14, to read as follows: "PROPOSITION NO. 3 Shall the Coppell City Charter be amended to delete obsolete or redundant provisions or references to the charter without making substantive changes by amending the following sections and paragraphs: 3.10, 6.15, 8.03A, 9.02, 11.22, 11.24, 11.26, 12.01." "PROPOSITION NO. 8 Shall Section 4.07 of the Coppell City Charter be amended to delete Section 4.07D." "PROPOSITION NO. 14 Shall Section 6.12 of the Coppell City Charter be amended to provide that an ordinance adopted by initiative or an ordinance repealed by referendum may be repealed, amended, or re-enacted, as the case may be, at any time after the expiration of two (2) years by an affirmative vote of four (4) or more Council members." SECTION 2. That except as amended hereby, the Propositions contained in Ordinance No. 95709 shall remain in full force and effect and the election ballot, notices, and other official documents shall be prepared accordingly. 1 A~CO77~ SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage as the law and charter in such cases provide.
