CM 1994-04-05 MINUTES OF APRIL 5, 1994
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Special Called Session on Tuesday, April 5,
1994 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard,
Coppell, Texas. The following members were present:
Tom Morton, Mayor
Ron Robertson, Mayor Pro Tern
Peyton Weaver, Councilmember
Flo McFadden Stably, Councilmember
Danny L. Watson, Councilmember
Mitch Reitman, Councilmember
Lanny Mayo, Councilmember
Jim Garrison, Councilmember
Also present were City Manager Jim Witt, City Secretary Dorothy Timmons and City Attorney
Peter G. Smith.
WORK SESSION (Open to the Public)
1. Call to order
Mayor Morton called the meeting to order.
2. Review of Planning & Zoning Commission land use action.
Gary Sieb, Director of Planning and Community Services, made a presentation and reviewed
the status of seven proposed zoning changes that will be heard at the regular City Council
meeting of April 12, 1994. Since written opposition has been received on six of the seven
proposed zoning changes, a three-fourths (3/4) vote will be required by Council to approve those
zoning changes. Because this meeting was a work session, no action was required.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the Public)
3. Convene Executive Session
A. Section 551.071 Consultation with City Attorney.
Mayor Morton convened into Executive Session at 8:03 p.m. as allowed under the above-stated
article. Mayor Morton adjourned the Executive Session at 9:10 p.m. and opened the Work
Session.
WORK SESSION (Open to the Public)
There being no further business to come before the Ci.ty Council, the meeting was adjourned.
