CM 1995-08-26 MINUTES OF AUGUST 26, 1995
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Special Called Session on Saturday, August 26,
1995 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers of Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard,
Coppell, Texas. The following members were present:
Tom Morton, Mayor
Ron Robertson, Mayor Pro Tem
Norm Alexander, Councilmember
Chuck Sturges, Councilmember
Danny L. Watson, Councilmember
Marsha Tunnell, Councilmember
Lanny Mayo, Councilmember
Candy Sheehan, Councilmember
Also present were Jim Witt, City Manager, Ken Griffin, City Engineer/Assistant City Manager,
Clay Phillips, Fire Chief/Assistant City Manager, David Miller, Chief of Police, Alan Johnson,
Director of Finance, Vivyon Bowman, Director of Human Resources, Steve Goram, Director
of Information Services, Frances Moore, Municipal Court Director, Gary Sieb, Director of
Planning, and Linda Grau, City Secretary.
REGULAR SESSION (Open to the Public)
1. Call to order
Mayor Morton called the meeting to order and adjourned into Executive Session.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the Public)
2. Convene Executive Session
A. Section 551.072, Texas Government Code - Deliberation
regarding real property.
1. Park Purposes
Mayor Morton convened into Executive Session at 9:04 a.m. as allowed under the above-stated
article. Mayor Morton adjourned the Executive Session at 10:03 a.m. and opened the regular
session.

Item 4 was considered at this time.
3. Discussion and consideration of extending the interview process for the City's Board,
Commission and Committee applicants.
Following discussion, it was a consensus of Council to extend the interview process for those
applicants that could not attend the first scheduled interview.
4. City Council/City Staff- Planning Session.
This portion of the agenda was a work session and does not require official minutes being taken,
however, tapes are available and on file in the City Secretary Department.
There being no further action required by the Council, the meeting was adjourned.
