CM 1995-09-30 MINUTES OF SEPTEMBER 30, 1995 The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Special Called Session on Saturday, September 30, 1995 at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers of Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. The following members were present: Tom Morton, Mayor Norm Alexander, Councilmember Chuck Sturges, Councilmember Danny L. Watson, Councilmember Marsha Tunnell, Councilmember Candy Sheehan, Councilmember Mayor Pro Tem Robertson and Councilmember Mayo were absent from the meeting. Also present were City Manager Jim Witt, City Secretary Linda Grau and City Attorney Rob Dillard. REGULAR SESSION (Open to the Public) 1. Call to order Mayor Morton called the meeting to order and proceeded to Item No. 4 as no Executive Session was necessary. EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the Public) 2. Convene Executive Session A. Section 551.074, Texas Government Code - Personnel Matters. 1. City Manager No Executive Session was held. REGULAR SESSION (Open to the Public) 3. Reconvene Regular Session. 4. Consideration and approval of an Ordinance of the City of Coppell, levying the Ad Valorem Taxes for the year 1995 at .6695/$100 taxable valuation, and authorizing the Mayor to sign. SM093095 Page 1 of 2 Councilmember Watson moved to approve Ordinance No. 95720 levying the Ad Valorem Taxes for the year 1995 at .6695/$100 taxable valuation, and authorizing the Mayor to sign. Councilmember Sheehan seconded the motion; the motion carried 5-0 with Councilmembers Alexander, Sturges, Watson, Tunnell, and Sheehan voting in favor of the motion. 5. Consideration of an ordinance approving and adopting the budget for the City of Coppell for the Fiscal Year October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996 and authorizing the Mayor to sign. Councilmember Sheehan movedto approve Ordinance No. 95721 approving and adopting the budget for the City of Coppell for the Fiscal Year October 1, 1995 through September 30, 1996 and authorizing the Mayor to sign. Councilmember Sturges seconded the motion; the motion carried 5-0 with Councilmembers Alexander, Sturges, Watson, Tunnell, and Sheehan voting in favor of the motion. 6. Necessary action resulting from Executive Session. No Execution Session was held. There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned.
