CM 1996-03-20 MINUTES OF MARCH 20, 1996
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Special Called Session on Wednesday,
March 20, 1996 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Town Center, 255 Parkway
Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. The following members were present:
Tom Morton, Mayor
Norm Alexander, Councilmember
Danny L. Watson, Councilmember
Marsha Tunnell, Councilmember
Lanny Mayo, Councilmember
Candy Sheehan, Councilmember
Mayor Pro Tern Robertson and Councilmember Sturges were absent from the meeting. Also
present were City Manager Jim Witt, City Secretary Linda Grau and Jason Marshall from the
City Attorney's Office.
REGULAR SESSION (Open to the Public)
1. Call to order.
Mayor Morton called the meeting to order and adjourned into Executive Session.
EXECUTIVE SESSION (Closed to the Public)
2. Convene Executive Session
A. Section 551.072, Texas Government Code - Deliberation regarding real
property.
1. Land Disposition - Fire Station Land.
Mayor Morton convened into Executive Session at 6:09 p.m. as allowed under the above-stated
article. Mayor Morton adjourned the Executive Session at 6:45 p.m. and opened the Regular
Session.

3. Reconvene Regular Session.

4. Consideration of lease agreement with FAA on City property at Coppell and
Sandy Lake Roads.
Councilmember Mayo moved to approve the lease agreement of the antenna site with the City
of Coppell and the FAA as exhibited on the lease and the two letters dated March 12 from
Ronnie Uhlenhaker referred to as Lease No. DTFA07-96-L-01139. Councilmember Alexander
seconded the motion; the motion carried 5-0 with Couneilmembers Alexander, Watson, Tunnell,
Mayo, and Sheehan voting in favor of the motion.

5. Adjourn to Briefing Session - DFW International Airport Board Room
3200 East Airfield Drive, 2nd Floor
DFW International Airport
A. Discussion with DFW Airport Staff regarding Runway 17L/35R.
At this time the Council adjourned to the Airport Board Room for a briefing session.
There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was adjourned at
9:11 p.m. at DFW International Airport.
