CM 1998-11-06 MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 6, 1998
The City Council of the City of Coppell met in Special Called Session on Friday,
November 6, 1998, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Town Center, 255
Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas. The following members were present:
Candy Sheehan, Mayor
Marsha Tunnell, Mayor Pro Tem
Greg Garcia, Councilmember
Doug Stover, Councilmember
Larry Wheeler, Councilmember
Bill York, Councilmember
Councilmember Keenan was absent from the meeting. Also present were Deputy City
Manager Clay Phillips, City Secretary Kathleen Roach and Bob Hager from the City
Attorney's office.
REGULAR SESSION (Open to the Public)
1. Call to order.
.... Mayor Sheehan called the meeting to order.
2. Canvass returns of the November 3, 1998 Municipal Election, approval of an
order declaring the results of said election and authorizing the Mayor to sign.
Bob Hager read the Canvass of Returns and Declaration of Results of Election into the
record showing the following number of votes:
Byron Hardin, Place 2 1248
Jayne Peters, Place 2 2383
Jayne Peters was elected to serve in Place 2 for the remaining term.
Mayor Pro Tem Tunnell moved to accept the canvass of returns of the November
1998 Municipal Election, approve an order declaring the results of said election and
authorizing the Mayor to sign. Councilmember Stover seconded the motion; the
motion carried 5-0 with Mayor Pro Tem Tunnell and Councilmembers Garcia, Stover,
Wheeler and York voting in favor of the motion.

There being no further business to come before the City Council, the meeting was
adjourned.
