RE 04-25-75 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, House Bill 1463 has been proposed for passage by the Texas Legislature; and, I WHEREAS, House Bill 1463 would establish an Appraisal System in every county in the State operating under the general super- vision of the County Tax Assessor-Collector; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Coppell has reviewed the proposed legislation and finds it detrimental to the effective- ness of the local taxing jurisdiction by assigning the assessment of local properties under the supervision of a county elected official; and, WHEREAS, the passage of House Bill 1463 may create increased cost to the City of Coppell for tax appraisals; and, WHEREAS, the Property Appraisal Division is created in the office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts of the State of Texas; I now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS THAT: They oppose the passage of House Bill 1463. Be it further resolved that copies of this Resolution be mailed to State Senator O. H.
