AGENDA
Item 1: Call the meeting to order. Mr. Greg Garcia called the meeting to order at 6.32pm.
Item 2: Citizen’s Forum.

COPPELL RECREATION DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ITEMS
Item 3: Consider approval of the minutes from the March 3, 2008, meeting.
- Mr. Mike Ridgley moved to approve.
- Mr. Brent Holdridge seconded.
Vote: (6-0)
Item 4: Consider approval of a Professional Services Agreement with M. Kaser & Associates, Inc., for
design services related to Trail Interpretive Signage, in the amount of $15,600.00, and
authorizing the President to sign.
- Mr. Brent Holdridge moved to approve.
- Mr. Mike Ridgley seconded.

PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD ITEMS
Item 5: Discussion regarding the submittal by the Coppell Dog Park Association regarding a
Preliminary Site Analysis
- Board members had concerns regarding the location. The proposed location is too close to
the Nature Park and ballfields. The Parks Department will search for a different location.
- Mr. Brent Holdridge suggested mailing the Dog Park Association a letter to inform them
of the dog park status.
- Mr. Brad Reid suggested moving the item to next months meeting for approval.

Item 6: Update by the July 4 Parade Subcommittee and discussion regarding suggested
improvements to the Annual Parade.

- Little Miss Coppell for 3 and 4 graders.
- Parade Marshall.
- Improve float quality.
Item 7: Youth Advisor’s Report
- Mr. Robert Lamilla reported that NJHS kids need volunteer hours.
Item 8: Director's Report
- Special Events
- Clean Coppell had a great turn out

- July 4 Parade on July 4 and Fireworks on July 3.
- Project Update
- Town Center Plaza construction is still going on. Dedication scheduled for May 3.
- The department is working on the expansion of the Tennis and Recreation center.
- The storage facility at Wagon Wheel was approved by council.
- Nature trail project is out to bid.
