OF ORDINANCES BY AMENDING CHAPTER 8, ARTICLE 3, SECTION 1(A) BY
PROHIBITING STOPPING, STANDING OR PARKING OF MOTOR VEHICLES
ON SCHOOL DAYS, MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY BETWEEN 7:00 A.M.
AND 9:00 A.M. AND BETWEEN 2:30 P.M. AND 4:30 P.M., AND ON FRIDAY
BETWEEN 7:00 A.M. AND 9:00 A.M. AND BETWEEN 12:00 P.M. AND 2:00 P.M.;
ON THE WEST SIDE OF LONDON WAY FROM SANDY LAKE ROAD TO A
POINT 300 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH CURB LINE OF WESTBURY
DRIVE; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF THE ORDINANCE
NOT TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR
EACH OFFENSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. AMENDING SECTION 8 3 1(A) OF CHAPTER 8 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COPPELL
Section 8 -3 -1 of Chapter 8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell is
hereby amending a portion of said section as follows:
"Sec. 8 -3 -1 No parking 011 specific streets and in certain school zones.
A. No parking on specific streets.
It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand or park a vehicle at any
time in violation of any official sign, curb marking or street parking that
prohibits, regulates, or restricts the stopping, standing or parking of a vehicle
at the times designated for the following streets:
Lakeshore Drive
London Way on the west side from Sandy Lake Road to a point 300 feet
north of the north curb line of Westbury Drive on school days Monday
through Thursday between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between 2:30 p.m.
and 4:30 p.m., and on Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and between
12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

SECTION 2. REPEALING CLAUSE
All parts of ordinances inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
If any article, paragraph or subdivision, clause or provision of this ordinance shall
be adjudged invalid or held unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this
ordinance as a whole or any part or provision thereof, other than the part so decided to be
invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 4. PENALTY CLAUSE
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction shall be punished by a
penalty of fine not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) for each offense
and each and every day such offense is continued shall constitute a new and separate
offense.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after the publication of its
caption, as the law in such cases provides.
