MEMORANDUM
Late last week and again early this week I had a conversation with North Hills School regarding the
submission process. Apparently there were some communication breakdown between my office and
North Hills School regarding their submission. They have revised their application, published their
notice in the appropriate newspapers, and were hoping to meet in May with the CEDC. As we
originally scheduled it, the May meeting would have been this evening. After informing them that we
had canceled the May meeting, they asked that we consider a special meeting to review their
application, since many of their relevant staff would not be available in June due to planned summer
vacations, etc.
I asked President Coker yesterday for his input, and he felt we could possibly accommodate them on
May 28 with a special meeting. As a result of conversations President Coker had with CISD
personnel, he feels Coppell ISD might also have an application to review in time for that special
meeting. The CISD Board meets May 19 to review an application from their library.
Please advise whether or not you feel we should move forward with a meeting on May 28 for North
Hills School, and possibly the CISD library application. I would appreciate an email response in the
next 48 hours, Thanks again for your patience and assistance in this matter.
It also appears that CISD applications will not be submitted until July 1. Therefore, after the May 28
meeting we will not have another meeting until July 9. If you have any questions, please do not
hesitate to give me a call regarding any of these matters.

MEMORANDUM
The consensus is that the November 13 meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. instead of 7 p.m. A light
dinner will be provided from Jason's Deli. The agenda is being mailed to your homes, and you have
already received draft minutes for October 9, a draft of the grant agreement for digital video
equipment, and copies of the amendments to grant agreements for the CISD. Please review these
carefully and bring them to the meeting with any additions or changes. This will help to expedite the
discussion and possible approval process.
Peggy Quinn has asked that the Amendment Requirements and Checklist she forwarded to me also be
provided to board members. That is being mailed to you for review. This is also on the agenda.
Hopefully, by reviewing these items ahead of time we can speed things along. No one wants to have
to stay to midnight. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call. I will be out of the
office Friday, but at my desk on Monday and Tuesday.

RE: November 7 Meeting
Dear Peggy:
After contacting Carrollton- Farmers Branch ISD and Coppell ISD, we have learned there
is a conflict with a Region 10 school district meeting on November 7.
I have talked with President Coker, and we have agreed that at our meeting on November 7
we will consult with the City Attorney and further define what information we need from
the independent school districts. We are attempting to finalize meetings with them on
either November 28 or December 5.
To expedite contact in the future, please forward Kathy your email address. Her address
is: kbowling @ci.coppell.tx.us. Feel free to give me a call if you should have any
questions.
