North Hills Prep 2007/03/20March 20, 2007 The Coppell Education Development Corporation City of Coppell 255 Parkway Coppell TX, 75019 Attention: Mr. Jim Witt, City Manager Dear Mr. Witt: The following packet of information is The North Hills School's first set of surveys regarding the use of the new computer lab our school was able to acquire thanks to the generous funds you provided. Due to space issues and technical difficulties with our new recording software, the teachers have only been able to access the new lab for approximately a month. It is now fully operational and we all absolutely love it! The lab has been booked every class period over the last month. Our students are excited about the new learning opportunities they have experienced and the teachers are exchanging ideas on how they can best incorporate the use of the lab into their daily lessons. We are only starting to discover the many possibilities of the lab, but one interesting project has been a blog that was created by two of our French teachers. It is completely in French and students are using it to interact with each other and with their teacher on a daily basis. Thank you again for the great opportunity you have given us. Sincerely, Sabrina Rys er Foreign Language Department Chair The North Hills School sryder @tnhs.org Cheryl Huisman Chief Director The North Hills School chuisman @tnhs.org N ORTH H ILLS S gr9ct door school with an international pers. • r..\ri.vt,ii laj E., MAR 2 6 2007 CITY MANAGER CITY OF COPPELL 606 E. Students will be scheduled for 1 to 2 class periods of additional aural input of vocabulary and grammar structures per chapter unit. That translates to 12 to 24 additional sessions of listening practice.
