MINUTES
The Coppell Economic Development Foundation met at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at
Coppell Town Center, Lobby Conference Room, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas 75019. The
following were present: Bill Rohloff, Gary Roden, Bradley Snyder, Dornell Reece, Mindi Hurley,
Deputy City Manager Clay Phillips, and Scarlett Hovland.
Call to Order

Gary Roden called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Approval of Minutes: September 5, 2007

Dornell Reece made a motion to approve the minutes from September 5, 2007. Bradley
Snyder seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Consider and authorize Clay Phillips to enter into a development agreement by and

between the City of Coppell and the Coppell Economic Development Foundation, and any
related documents for purposes of historic preservation in order to enhance Economic
Development in Old Coppell and authorize Clay Phillps to sign.
Bradley Snyder made a motion to authorize Clay Phillips to enter into a development
agreement by and between the City of Coppell and the Coppell Economic Development
Foundation, and any related documents for purposes of historic preservation in order to
enhance Economic Development in Old Coppell and authorize Clay Phillips to sign. Gary
Roden seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
Other Business

A donation of $250,000 was donated to the Coppell Historical Society.
The old Minyard grocery store was gifted to the City from the Minyard family. The store
will be relocated to the southeast corner of W. Bethel and S. Coppell Road in old downtown
Coppell.
The old Kirkland house will be moved to the southeast corner of W. Bethel and S. Coppell
Roads. The Kirkland house will face W. Bethel Rd. and the Minyard store will face S.
Coppell Road.
With no further business to discuss, it was moved by Gary Roden and seconded by Bradley Snyder that
the meeting adjourn. By unanimous vote, the meeting was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
