BM 1991-01-17 PZMinutes of January 17, 1991 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Coppell met in pre -session at 7:00 p.m., and in regular session at 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, January 17, 1991, at the Copped Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas 75019. The following members were present: Vice -Chairman, Robert Green Commissioner, Charles Cotten Commissioner, Melvin Gross Commissioner, Lanny Mayo Commissioner, George Redford Commissioner, Marsha Tunnell Chairman Munsch was absent. Also present were Director of Planning and Community Services Gary L. Sieb and Administrative Secretary Linda Glidewell. Vice -Chairman Green called the meeting to order and everyone was asked to stand while Commissioner Mayo gave the invocation. Item 4: Approval of Minutes of December 13, 1990 Commissioner Gross moved to approve the minutes of December 13, 1990 as submitted. Commissioner Cotten seconded the motion; motion carried (6-0) with Commissioners Cotten, Green, Gross, Mayo, Redford and Tunnell voting in favor of the motion. Item 5: Consider request for an amendment to a site plan for Case ##PD -105, located at 741 Woodmoor Drive, Lot 20, Block A, Meadows Section 6, to allow the construction of a 1 1/2 story structure, at the request of Robert Delsanter of Greystone Custom Homes. Director of Planning Gary L. Sieb introduced the item to the Commission. Mr. Robert Delsanter of Greystone Custom Homes was present to represent this item before the Commission and answer any questions. Vice -Chairman Green then opened the public hearing and asked for persons wishing to speak in favor of the request. Those persons speaking were: Paul Williams 137 Lansdowne Dave Sanders 135 Meadow Run Martin Medina 257 Willingham The public hearing was then declared closed. Following discussion Commissioner Redford moved to approve the amendment to PD -105 with the following four conditions: 1) that there be an eight foot screening fence along the alley, 2) that there be no rear windows above the first floor, 3) that there be no major excavation of the lot, and 4) that there be a maximum roof ridge line of 31 feet above grade Commissioner Cotten seconded the motion; motion carried (4-2) with Commissioners Cotten, Green, Redford and Tunnell voting in favor of the motion, and Commissioners Mayo and Gross voting against the motion. DISCUSSION Item b: General discussion concerning planning and zoning issues. There was no further business to discuss.
