BM 1987-01-29 PZ SPECIAL CALLED MEETINGMinutes of January 29, 1987 The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Coppell met in special called meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 1987 in the second floor conference room of the Coppell Town Center, 255 Parkway Boulevard, Coppell, Texas 75019. The following members were present: Chairman Smedul Commissioner Eberhardt Commissioner Pope Commissioner Tunnell Commissioner Weaver Commissioners Jasiecki and Munsch were absent. Also present were City Engineer Wayne Ginn, John Karlsruher of Ginn, Inc., Planning and Zoning Coordinator Taryon Bowman and Administrative Secretary Linda Glidewell. Chairman Smedul called the meeting to order. Item 3: MacArthur Boulevard Extension (Right -of -Way Dedication Plat) To consider approval of a dedication plat. Chairman Smedul opened the meeting by introducing City Engineer Wayne Ginn and John Karlsruher, both of Ginn, Inc. Mr. Ginn began the presentation by giving a brief summary of the background on this item. Several questions were raised by the Commissioners concerning the proposed Right -of -Way on the intersection of DeForest Road and MacArthur Boulevard. The Commissioners felt that work better if it could be moved and given a more westerly route. Following discussion, Commissioner Weaver made a motion to approve this item with the recommendation that consideration be given to a more westerly route on the proposed Right -of -Way on the intersection of DeForest Road and MacArthur Boulevard. Commissioner Tunnell seconded the motion; motion carried (5-0) with Chairman Smedul and Commissioners Eberhardt, Weaver, Tunnell and Pope voting in favor of the motion.
