The Planning -and Zoning Commission -of the City of Coppell met in regular
session on May -21, 1981, at 8:00 p. -.m. in the Coppell High School Cafeteria.

'Also present were City Administrator Jim Elium and Secretary Debbie Shanks.
The meeting was called to order and everyone asked to stand while Co -Chairman
Burton gave the invocation. Following the invocation, Co-Chairman.Burton
asked if all had read the minutes of the previous meeting. All indicated they
had. Commissioner -Pope -moved that the minutes be approved as submitted;
Commissioner Kershaw seconded and motion carried 3-0.
The first item -con I sidered by the Commission was. approval of- the preliminary
plat on Airport Business Park. Mr. Sam Wyse was present to make the present-
ation. Mr. Wyse stated that -this property consisted of 158 acres and was
located in the city limits of Coppell and Grapevine. He stated that Cotton-
wood Creek runs down the middle of the property but would be channelized.
The preliminary plat was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission of
Grapevine last Tuesday night. Mr. Wyse stated that construction would be-
gin by July - 1., 1981. Following discussion, Commissioner Kershaw, moved .,that
the preliminary plat be recommended for approval; Commissioner Pope seconded
and motion carried 3-0.
Next, the Commission considered approval of the final plat on the Sandy Oaks
Addition. Mr. Paul'Unzicker and 'Mr. Bob Viningm&de the presentation. This
property consists of 20 acres located on Sandy Lake Road East of Heartz Road.
There will be 69 lots, and 'all' of them will be alley_ entry. They .anticipate
on starting construction -immediately, and houses will be built around September.
Following discussion by the Commission, Commissioner Pope moved that the final
plat be recommended for approval; Commissioner Kershaw seconded and motion
carried 3-0.
The next item to be considered was approval of the final_ plat on Woodridge
Addition. Mr. Steven Crim, Vice -President of Lomas & Nettleton Corp., made
the presentation to the Commission. This is the 2nd phase of Woodridge con-
sisting of 231 Single Family Lots and fil Town Home Lots. The preliminary
plat has already been approved, and -Mr. Elium stated that everything was in
conformance with City ordinances. Following discussion, Commissioner Kershaw
moved that the final plat be recommended for approval; Commissioner Pope
seconded and motion carried 3-0.
The meeting was then adjourned.
