BM 1980-03-20 PZMinutes of March 20, 1980 The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Coppell met in regular session on March 20, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. in the Coppell High School Cafeteria. The following members were present: Foy Layton, Chairman Geren Burton, Co -Chairman Thomas Rainey, Commissioner (Late Arrival) Larry Wells, Commissioner Ray Smedul, Commissioner Also present was City Administrator James Elium. The meeting was called to order and everyone asked to stand while Chairman Layton gave the invocation. Commissioner Smedul moved that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as submitted; Commissioner Wells seconded and motion carried 5-0. The first item to be considered by the Commission was the approval of the final plat on Coppell Commerce Center. Mr. Bill Hendrix was present and presented the plat to the Commission. Commissioner Burton moved that this plat be approved as submitted; Commissioner Smedul seconded and motion carried 4-0-1 with Commissioner Rainey abstaining. t' Next, to be considered by the Commission was' the Public Hearing on a zoning change request of Braewood Development Corporation. -Mr Wayne Ferguson was present and presented the zoning change to the Commission.: He stated that the change would eliminate the commercial development in the approved residential. Chairman Layton opened the public hearing for those wishing to speak for or against the proposed zoning change. There were none. The public hearing was closed. Following discussion Commissioner Smedul moved that the zoning change from "C" Commercial to "SF -7" Single -Family be approved as submitted; Commissioner Wells seconded and motion carried 4-1 with Commissioner Rainey against. Consideration of apporval of replat of Braewood Subdivision on the above described property was then discussed by the Commission. Mr. Wayne Ferguson was present and presented the replat to the Commission. He stated that 62 lots have been revised and that the center cul-de-sac has been connected. Following discussion Commissioner Wells moved that the plat be approved as submitted; Commissioner Smedul seconded and motion carried 4-0-1 with Comrpissioner Burton abstaining.
