BM 1976-07-29 PZ000020 PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION City of Coppell Coppell, Texas July 29, 1976 The Planning and Zoning Commission met on July 29, 1976, at 7:30 p. m. in the meeting room at the First Bank of Coppell to consider a request for final plat approval of Harrison Estates Subdivision. The following members were present: Wayne Musgrave Charles Williams Harvey James Members Frank Fitzgerald and Charles Hitchcock were absent. Also present was City Administrator George Campbell. Since Chairman Fitzgerald was a,bsent,member Charles Williams made a motion that Wayne Musgrave be elected Vice -Chairman to serve in the absence of the Chairman. Motion was seconded by James and carried 2-0-1 with member Musgrave abstaining. The Commission then reviewed the subdivision final plat submitted by Billy Harrison as Harrison Estates. The city administrator reported that the plat complied with the subdivision regulations, however, the developer requested that he be allowed to subdivide without paving the proposed ex- tension of Holly Street. Since the extension is proposed as a permanent cul-de-sac, it was recommended that the plat be approved as submitted with the following conditions: 1. The street be constructed to county specifications for a gravel road with at least 6" - 8 " of crushed rock and that paving not be required. Motion to approve the plat with the above conditions was made by James and seconded by Williams. Motion carried unanimously. Next the city administrator briefed the commission on the. matters of zoning for Bullock and Howell Streets, and a proposed amendment to the zoning ordinance relating to the lot sizes in various districts. Motion was made by Williams and seconded by James to recommend to the city council that the zoning on Bullock and Howell Streets, and the residential lots on those streets be changed to SF -12. Motion carried unanimously. The commission was advised that should such action require a public hearing the matter would be placed back on their agenda. The meeting was then adj owned. Vice -Chairman Secretary
