ORDINANCE NO. 93606
AN ORDINANCE OFTHE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION
8-3-1 (A) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COPPELL, TEXAS; MAKING
IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO PARK A VEHICLE ON BOTH SIDES OF PARKWAY
BOULEVARD FROM MACARTHUR BOULEVARDTO MEADOW GLEN CIRCLE, ON BOTH
SIDES OF PARKWAY BOULEVARD FROM COWBOY DRIVE TO ALEX DRIVE, AND ON
BOTH SIDES OF PARKWAY BOULEVARD FROM COPPELL ROAD TO 150 FEET EAST
OF GRAHAM DRIVE; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; PROVIDING A PENALTY OF FINE NOT
TO EXCEED THE SUM OF TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00) FOR EACH OFFENSE;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COPPELL, TEXAS:
SECTION 1:
That Section 8-3-1 of Chapter 8 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Coppell,
Texas be and the same is hereby amended in part to read as follows:
"Sec. 8-3-1 NO PARKING ON SPECIFIC STREETS & IN CERTAIN SCHOOL ZONES
A. NO PARKING ON SPECIFIC STREETS
HEAR'I'Z ROAD on the west, from 35 feet north of the intersection
of Bethel School and Heartz Road no parking at any time·
PARKWAY BOULEVARD on both sides, from MacArthur Boulevard
to Meadow Glen Circle.
PARKWAY BOULEVARD on both sides from Cowboy Drive to Alex
Drive.
PARKWAY BOULEVARD on both sides from Coppell Road to 150
feet east of Graham Drive."

SECTION 2.
Traffic Engineer is authorized to erect appropriate signs to give notice to the public
that it is unlawful for any person to park a vehicle at the location designated in this
Ordinance.
SECTION 3. SAVINGS CLAUSE
An offense committed before the effective date of this ordinance is governed by
the prior law and the provisions of the Code of Ordinances, as amended, in effect when
the offense was committed and the former law is continued in effect for this purpose.
SECTION 4. REPEALING CLAUSE
All parts of ordinances inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
If any article, paragraph or subdivision, clause or provision of this ordinance or of
the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, shall be adjudged invalid or held
unconstitutional, the same shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any
part or provision thereof, other than the part so decided to be invalid or unconstitutional.
SECTION 6. PENALTY CLAUSE
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance or
of the Code of Ordinances, as amended hereby, shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and, upon conviction in the Municipal Court of the City of Coppell, Texas
shall be shall be subject to a fine not to exceed the sum of Two Hundred Dollars
($200.00) for each offense and each and every day such offense is continued shall
constitute a new and separate offense.
SECTION 7. EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after the publication of its
caption, as the law and charter in such cases provide.
