Minutes of Meeting
March 22, 2012
The Keep Coppell Beautiful Board met on March 22, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., in the Conference Room
at the Coppell Service Center, 816 South Coppell Rd., Coppell, Texas. The following members
were present: Brandi Todd, Laura Burnett, Noel Schaefers, Richard Kelley, Shawn Thompson,
Tabitha Wilson, Carmen Prince, Vin Merrill, Annie Friedman, Pooja Marella and City Liaison:
Amanda Vanhoozier.
Item 1: Call to Order
Brandi Todd called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m.
Item 2: Consider Approval of Minutes for February 16, 2012
Motion was made and carried to approve the February 16, 2012 minutes.
Item 3: Citizens’ Forum
Citizens Jen Ferguson and Jim Prince were present.
Item 4: Discussion regarding Adopt-a-Location Program/Litter Index
Brandi Todd reminded board that the Litter Index is on Saturday, March 24,
2012 at 9:00 a.m. and the Adopt-a-Location clean-up is on Saturday, April 7,
2012 at 9:00 a.m. at Hunterwood Park.
Item 5: Consider approval and discussion on new Coppell Green Team guidelines
Tabitha Wilson presented the new Coppell Green Team guidelines to the
board.
Motion was made and carried to approve the new Coppell Green Team
guidelines as presented and changes as discussed.
Item 6: Update from Earthfest Education Booths Subcommittee
Richard Kelley reported that 12 booths are confirmed and they have a few
more to follow up on. They asked for other board members to contact anyone
else they think might be interested.
The subcommittee is striving for a goal of 20 booths.
Item 7: Update from KCB Booth at Earthfest Subcommittee
After board meeting, board will make the caterpillar filled with grass seed
and milk carton bird feeders as examples for the KCB Booth activity.
Shawn Thompson reported that Schepps Farm was willing to donate 500
small milk cartons to make bird feeders. They would arrive un-assembled
and would not be recycled cartons but new.

4.Coppell Community Garden (CCG):
Share the Harvest at 817 Pounds donated to
Metrocrest Social Service Center. Waiting list at both gardens.
5.CCG Environmental Education:
The Basics of Organic Gardening series started. Next
