The Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas, convened on this
the 4th day of January 1960, with the following members present, to-wit:
R. M. Johnson, Mayor
C. C. Mitchell,
C. T. Waters,
F. Harwell
W. H. Plumlee,
J. H. Burns,
W. F. Mosley, Secretary,
constituting a quorum, when among other proceedings had was the following:
TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF COPPELL,
1. The undersigned respectfully represents to your Honorable
Body that he is:
1. The owner of that certain tract or parcel of land situated
and located in Dallas County, Texas, and being more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
Being a part of the M. L. Swing Survey, Abstract
No. 1439, Dallas County, Texas, and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as
follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the centerline
of Bethel School Road and State Road;
THENCE North 558.3 feet, more or less, to the
Northeast corner of a tract of land in the name
of C. L. Plumlee, Jr.;
THENCE West 2025 feet, more or less, to the East
line of the Wm. K. Payne Survey, Abstract No.
1140;
THENCE South 481.9 feet, more or less, to the
centerline of Bethel School Road;
THENCE West 1320 feet, more or less, to the
centerline of County Line Road;
THENCE South with the centerline of County Line
Road 629.1 feet, more or less, to the Southwest
corner of said C. L. Plumlee, Jr. tract;
THENCE East 1936.1 feet more or less, to the
most westerly Southeast corner of said C. L.
Plumlee, Jr. tract;
THENCE North to the centeriine of Bethel School
Road;
THENCE East to the centerline of Bethel School
Road to the place of Beginning, a point in the
corporate limits of the Town of Coppell, Texas.
2. That the said land is located entirely within Dallas County,
Texas, and is contiguous and adjacent to the Town of Coppell, Texas,
and on which less than three (3) qualified voters reside.
3. That none of such territory is more than one-half mile in width
from the present corporate limits of the Town of Coppell, Texas.
4. That this petition is acknowledged by every person owning an
interest in said land.
5. That the undersigned desires that the territory hereinabove
described be annexed to the Town of Coppell, Texas, and hereby petitions
the Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas, to annex ~uch territory.
6. That the annexation of such territory and the extension and
exercise of the police powers and other governmental powers of the Town
of Coppell, Texas, to such territory would be advantageous and beneficial
to the Town of Coppell, Texas, and its inhabitants, as well as to the
territory hereinabove described.
WHEREFORE, premises considered, the undersigned respectfully
petitions your Honorable Body to annex the above described territory
to the Town of Coppell, Texas.

purposes and consideration therein expressed.

There being no further business to come before the Town Council
on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
