CM 1964-03-02STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS The Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas convened on this 2nd day of March, 1964, with the following members present, to wit: W. T. Cozby Mayor J. H. Burns B. J. Harwell L. P. Johnson J. R. McDonald C. T. Waters D. A. Phillips Secretary constituting a quorum, when among other proceedings had, was the following: Mr. Caspary reiuested permission to move an 8x42 ft Mobil home to his property on Sandy Lake Rd. A motion by J. H. Burns and seconded by L. P. Johnson, and a unanimous vote by the council granted permission. Mayor Cozby brought an ordinance providing stagg- ared terms for councilmen. On a motion by B. J. Harwell seconded by J. R. McDonald, and a unanimous vote by the council, the ordinance was approved Mayor Cozby called an election for the 7th day of April, 1964, to elect a mayor and five (5) councilmen By vote of the council, Coppell contracted with the County of Dallas to furnish fire protection and to answer all fire calls in the area adjoining the Corporate limits of the City of Coppell. Mr. Shirley Peters addressed the council and large number of townspeople present on the subject of water and sewer franchise. There was much discussion on the subject. There being no further business to come before the Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas, on motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the meeting adjourned. Passed and approved this 2nd day of March, 1964
