CM 1956-01-19 (2)THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS The Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas, convened on this the 19th day of January, 1956, pursuant to the call of the Mayor, with all members thereof being present, to-wit: R. M. Johnson, Mayor G. C. Lanham, C. C. Mitchell, V. E. Grace, Aldermen Geo. Corbin, E. E. Parker, Albert Hodge, Town Marshal, Roy Liberto, Town Secretary when among other transactions had was the following: The Mayor, Mr. R. M. Johnson, the Town Marshal, Albert Hodge, and the respective Aldermen, Mr. G.C. Lanham, C. C. Mitchell, V. E. Grace, Geo. Corbin, and E. E. Parker, each subscribed to the con- stitutional oath of office. Mr. Lanham made a motion that the Town Secretary be ordered and directed to spread the official oaths of the officers of the Town of Coppell, Texas, on the minutes of the Town Council. The motion was seconded by Mr. Parker. The motion carried by the following vote: AYES: Messrs. Mitchell, Lanham, Grace, Corbin and Parker. NOES: None. THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS I, R. M. JOHNSON, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the duties of the office of Mayor of the Town of Coppell, Texas, and will to the best of my ability preserve, protect and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States and of this State; and I furthermore solemnly swear that I have not directly nor indirectly paid, offered, or promised to pay, contributed, nor promised to contribute any money, or valuable thing, or promised any public office or employment as a reward for the giving or withholding a vote at the election at which I was elected. M. be established as the Regular Meeting date of the Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas. The motion was seconded by Mr. Corbin. The motion prevailed by the following vote: AYES: Messrs. Lannam, Mitchell, Grace, Corbin and Parker. NOES: None. There being no further business to come before the Town Council, on motion duly made, seconded and carried, the meeting was adjourned.
