OR 60-28 Speed Limit on Sandy Lake Rd. & Thweatt Rd. 6028 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SPEED LIMITS ON SANDY LAKE ROAD AND THWEATT ROAD, WITHIN THE TOWN OF COPPELL, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, The Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas, have had under consideration the expediency and necessity of fixing a speed limit on Sandy Lake Road and Thweatt Road; THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF COPPELL, TEXAS. 1. That the speed limit for all vehicles traveling on Sandy Lake Road from its intersection with the East corporate limits of the Town of Coppell, Texas, to its joinder with Thweatt Road; and Thweatt Road from its joinder with Sandy Lake Road to the West corporate limits of the Town of Coppell, Texas, be and the same is here now established and fixed at not to exceed Forty Miles Per Hour (40 MPH). 2. That any person or persons violating the provisions, of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred ($200.00) Dollars. The fact that the Town of Coppell, Texas, and its inhabitants, are in immediate need of the relief afforded by the provisions of this ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity demand- ing that any and all rules requiring ordinances to be passed at more than one meeting be suspended, and that this ordinance take effect immediately upon and after its passage, and it is so ordained. Ordinance 60-28 was passed and approved by the Town Council of the Town of Coppell, Texas on October 3, 1960.
