OR 60-30 Public Safety Gasoline & Kerosene 6030 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT GASOLINE AND KEROSENE SHALL NOT BE SOLD OR DELIVERED IN ANY CONTAINER EXCEPT METAL CONTAINERS; PROVIDING A PENALTY AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF COPPELL, TEXAS: 1. That from and after the passage of this ordinance, it shall be unlawful for any person to sell or offer for sale, or deliver any gasoline or kerosene in any container except a metal container;provided that all containers in which gasoline is sold or delivered shall be painted or colored red, and that all containers in which kerosene is offered for sale or delivered shall be painted of some color other than red. 2. The violation of any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed a misdemeanor and shall be punished, upon conviction, by a fine of not to exceed Twenty-five ($27.00) Dollars. The fact that .the Town of Coppell, Texas, and its inhabitants, are in imediate need of the relief afforded by the provisions of this ordinance oreates an emergency and an imperative public necessity demanding that any and all rules requiring ordinances to be passed at more than one meeting be suspended, and that this ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage, and it is se ordained.
