CM 1965-10-18 STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS The City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, convened in regular meeting on the 18th day of October, 1965, with the following members present, to-wit: W. T. Cozby, Mayor C. T. Waters, Councilman B. J. Harwell, Councilman Cecil Dobecka, Councilman Thomas Sisk, Councilman E. C. Gentry, City Secretary Absent: W. H. Wilson, Councilman Constituting a quorum where among the other proceedings had was the following: Motion made by Bill Harwell and seconded by C. T. Waters that Ordinance No. 25 be adopted. Said Ordinance providing for the levying of a tax of fifty- five cents per one hundred dollars assessed valuation on all taxable property within the corporate limits of the City'of Coopell, Texas, as of January l, 1965, to provide revenues for the payment of current expenses; providing interest and sinking fund on all outstanding debts of the City of Coopell, Texas; providing for due and delinquent dates together with penalties and interest; and declaring an emergency. The Ordinance was adopted by unanimous vote. Bill Harwell made a motion to raise the water deposit to $15.00 for both home owners, renters and business. The motion was seconded by C. T. Waters and carried unanimously. Cecil Dobecka made a motion that the purchase of a desk be approved for Police Chief, V. E. Wall. Said desk to be purchased for $65.00. Thomas Sisk seconded the motion and the motion carried unanimously. No further business being presented, to the Council at this time, and upon a motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Council adjourned. PASSED AND APPPOVED, this 18th day ofOCT , 1965. W. T.
