CM 1965-11-01 STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF DALLAS The City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, convened in regular meeting on the 1st day of November, 1965, with the following members present to-wit: W.T. Cozby, Mayor Thomas Sisk, Councilman . W.H. Wilson, Councilman B. J. Harwell, Councilman C. J. Dobecka, Councilman E. C. Cmntry, City Secretary Absent: C. T. Waters Constituting a quorum where among the other proceedings had was the following: Mayor Cozby stated that W. H. Plumlee had requested a street light be installed by his house. Upon a motion made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by B. J. Harwell that a street light be installed at said location, the motion carried unanimously. Discussion was held concerning work to be done on Maynard Street. Final action was delayed until a later date. Upon a motion made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by Thomas Sisk and carried unanimously, the following bills were aporoved for payment: A. P. Dobecka $10.50 Office Equioment Co. $64.50 Discussion on deliquent taxes was held. No action was taken. Mr. B. E. Lesley appeared before the Council and requested that his land and the land of his father, J. B. Lesley and the land of his mother, Hattie Lesley, be disannexed with a ten foot strip reserved around it to prevent it from being annexed by another town. His request was denied. Police Chief V. E. Wall was given permission to buy street signs in the amount of $50.00. Motion was made by W. H. Wilson and seconded by B. J. Harwell that C. P.. Lesley be sent a bill for moving a house into Coppell. Said bill to be in the amounts of $50.00 and $25.00 for a total of $75.00. Motion carried unanimously. No further business being presented to the Council at this time, and upon a motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Council adjourned. PASSED AND APPROVED, this 1st day of Nov. , 1965. W. T.
