STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF DALEAS
The City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, convened in regular
meeting on the 21st day of February, 1966, with the following members present
to-wit:
W. T. Cozby, Mayor
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
B. J. Harwell, Councilman
Thomas Sisk, Councilman
C. J. Dobecka, Councilman
E. C. Gentry, City Secretary
Absent: C. T. Waters, Councilman
Constituting a quorum where among the other proceedings had was the
following:
A motion was made by W. H. Wilson that an order calling an election
for the election of three (3) City Councilmen in the City of Coppell, Texas,
be passed. The motion was seconded by B. J. Harwell and carried unanimously.
Said election to be held the 5th day of April, 1966, at the City Hall, Coppell,
Texas.
C. J. Dobecka made a motion that W. T. Cozby be authorized to enter
into a contract with the County of Dallas agreeing to furnish fire pretection
in the area adjoining the corporate limits of this City. The motion was
seconded by Thomas Sisk and carried unanimously.
W. H. Wilson made a motion that a resolution be passed authorizing
E. C. Gentry to issue a voucher payable to the North ,Central Texas Regional
Planning Commission in the amount of $25.00 as a contribution for 1966. The
motion was seconded by Thomas Sisk and carried unanimously.
B. J. Harwell made amotion that the City obtain two more loads of
gravel from Mr. Wadell for Maynard Street, making a total of four loads.
The motion was seconded by C. J. Dobecka and carried unanimously.
A motion was made seconded, and carried unanimously that E. D.
Scott receive a salary of $30.00 per month.
A motion was made by W. H. Wilson that a $10.00 penalty be imposed
upon any unauthorized person tampering in any way with a water meter. The
motion was seconded by B. J. Harwell and carried unanimously.
No further business being presented to the Council at this time, and
upon a motion duly made, seconded and carried, the Council adjourned.
