COUNTY OF DALLAS
The City Council of the City of Coppell, Texas, convened on regulag
meeting on the lst day of August, 1966, with the following members present
to-wit:
W. T. Cozby, Mayor
W. H. Wilson, Councilman
C. L. Plmulee, Councilman
C. J. Dobecka, Councilman
W. H. Wilson Councilman
B. Y. Harwell, Councilman
E. C. Gentry, Secretary
Constituting a quorm where among the other poceedings has was
the following:
Motion made by B. J. Harwell to hire C. R. Story as Police Chief
for City of Coppell, Texas at a salary of $150.00 per month beginning
August 1, 1966, and the city ageed to advance him $100.00 of his first
month's salary to buy a pistol and a price of $63.00 holster and accessor-
ies. The gun would belong to Mr. Story and that the $63.00 would be
deducted from his first month's salary, City paying for other items.
Seconded by C. J. Dobecka and carried unanimously.
Motion made by W. H. Wilson to pay the following bills:
Applicance Servd ce Company $6.50
Continental Office Supply 9.15
Bill Decker, Sheriff 1.00
Coppell Superette 5.05
A.P. Vanbibber. 261.20
W. T. Cozby 6.67
Motion seconded by C. L. Plumlee, Jr. and carried unanimously.
Mr.Cozby presented the tax roll that had been prepared by the
Tax Assessor to the Council with an assessed value on personal property
of $273,303.00 and on real estate $2,805,932.00 which was approved by
the council.
No further business being presented to the Conncil at this time
and upon a motion duly made seconded and carried, the Council adjourned.

mised to pay, contributed, nor promised to contribute any --~
money, or valuable thing, or promised any public office or
employment, as a reward to secure my appointment.
